My bio
I was born in early summer of 1980, the year of Monkey, and I spent most of my childhood in my hometown, a small but fast-expanding city named Jiangyin in east China, Jiangsu Province. Jiangyin's name means "River Shade", from its location on the south or the shady side of the Yangtze River. It has been taken as an important city from a military standpoint due to its strategic location alongside the Yangtze River for a long history. Since 2003, its overall competitiveness has been ranked first among China's hundred countries. One of its villages, Huaxi Cun, has been the China's richest village.
In fall of 1999, I left my hometown and went to Wuhan for my university life. Wuhan is the capital city of Hubei Province in the central China. It is well known for its hot weather in Summer. I spent eight years in this city for my undergraduate and graduate studies in addition to one-year work in the university. After earned my Master degree, I was admitted to the doctoral program of the University of International Business and Economics, which is one of the most famous universities in China for its high-quality teaching and research in international trade. It also provided me the first oppotunty to visit my dream city, Beijing, the capital of China.
I just stayed at the UIBE for one year and in 2008 I was awared a joint scholarship suppored by China Scholarship Council and the University of Western Australia. I then left for Perth to continue my doctoral reasearch. Under the supervision of Professor Yanrui Wu, I conducted research on the Chinese exporting firms and its implications for the aggreage export performance. After obtained the Ph.D. degress in economics from the UWA in September 2012, I joined the School of International Trade and Economics at the Central University of Finance and Economics (Beijing, China).
